A total of 12 aspiring coaches recently completed their NFABD AFC C Certificate Coaching Course, with certificates awarded in a closing ceremony at the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD).
The course which was conducted by the Coach Education Unit of NFABD’s Technical Development Department was designed to teach coaches how to analyse, plan, organise and conduct practical coaching sessions especially for the development of younger players.
Throughout the programme, coaches were given lessons on modern football coaching concepts and themes. They were also given theoretical and practical assessments to gauge their level of understanding of the Laws of The Game.
Held from February 1, 2021, the course, which was made exclusive to Brunei Super League (BSL) club coaches for the first time aimed at assisting teams to better understand and achieve club licensing requirements.
“The coaches on the course showed a willingness to learn which is noteworthy. The importance of self preparation as well as engaging with their team members was emphasized during the course. Present as the guest of honour was NFABD President Pengiran Haji Matusin Pengiran Haji Matasan.
